Hi, I’m Tanyeka, founder of Gaines 4 The Culture LLC, a Maryland-based cannabis

tax and compliance firm dedicated to protecting our people, our businesses, and our

legacy.

We didn’t just show up to the cannabis industry.

We survived the war on drugs, and now we deserve to thrive.

I started this firm because I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the system.

Years ago, while on dialysis, my house was raided. No warrant. No warning. I was

treated like a criminal over a cake, a sugar jar, and a lightbulb. I’ve been pulled over,

searched, and humiliated, all for a broken tag light. A gun was drawn on the man I

was riding with, and they found nothing.

But here’s what they didn’t find: defeat.

I’ve worked in tax audits, regulatory investigations, financial analysis, and compliance

strategy for over 15 years. I’ve reviewed billing systems, analyzed utility rate cases, led

multi-year financial reviews, and supported businesses through state-level audits and

complex reporting.

Now, I use those same skills to help cannabis operators stay compliant, audit-ready,

and in control of their business.
